A Stranger’s Last 3 Months to Live

When I met Xavier Romero in July of 2019, he'd been given 1 week left to live. He was suffering from a rare form of liver cancer and doctors had given up hope. After hearing his story, I knew I wanted to meet him. Little did I know Xavier would beat all the odds and that we would get to know each other and become brothers.
Over three months of getting to know him, he taught me about what it means to fight for your life, to love unconditionally and to appreciate every single breath. He always wanted to start a NOproject channel and I told him that no matter what, his story would be told. He took comfort in that. Here is that story.
I know he's here with us. I know he's watching this video and smiling at these beautiful moments we got to spend with each other. I miss him and I know I'll see him again one day.
Thank you for watching. It means a lot to me and I know it means a lot to him.

  • I don't know how I came across this video. But I like to think that everything is for a reason. A God reason. I'm loosing my best friend to cancer. He is deteriorating fast it seems. He's a very private person. He's not wanting to see anyone right now. I totally understand. He's lost so much weight and doesn't look like himself. He want's everyone to just remember him as he was. Healthy and alive. I count it a blessing to be apart of this journey right now. I have 2 biological brothers living in Texas (where I'm from) and a sister that is older than me. Since I've been living here in California I have only 4 very close friends that have become family to me. Tony is one of those friends that I can call brother. Seeing this video has inspired me to record our visits and record as much as he will allow me to. So, thank you for being a kind heart'd person. We need more people like you in this world that are selfless. I am in awe of you in every way. I can't put it into words how I feel, but you moved me. I cried more than I wanted to watching this. Happy tears and sad tears. But the one thing that stood out to me of this whole video was You. A totally stranger. Someone that didn't exist in Xavier's life. I believe it was a God thing. God meant for ya'll to meet. Kindness goes a long way. I know for a fact that Xavier's family will never forget what you have done for him. Never forget you. Because of you, he had more hope to live a little longer. It made him stronger. I think you are a great person and anyone that comes in contact with you will get that right off the bat! So, I thank you for being real. Thank you for being kind. Thank you for being selfless. Thank you for being a roll model for this dark and scary world we live in. Thank you for inspiring. You probably don't think of yourself this way, but standing here from a distance and seeing what you have done. My wife tells me that I'm the kindness person she has ever met. After seeing this video and what you have done. My shyness will never permit me to be that open with strangers and do what you've done. You are a good person. God bless you and Rest In Peace Xavier!

  • I'm freaking crying. I truly admire what you guys do and the message each one of you sends out into the world with your videos. I've found out about Yes Theory only a couple of months ago and I'm pretty sure I have seen every single video by now. Not only have these videos inspired me but it helped me going through depression and anxiety. I do still struggle but because of you guys I'm trying to seek discomfort and work my way up away from the negativity in my mind. Thank you so much. ♥️

  • It's important to have family and friends around. My sisters battle with breast cancer gave her one year of remission before cancer reared its ugly face once again, this time more aggressive and in the bones and brain.I spoke to her at home on a Thursday. We had a lengthy conversation as we always did between brother and sister. Then the call came Saturday. In a mere 48 hours she went from having a conversation to being brain dead and on life support. WE ARE NEVER guaranteed a single day on this earth, not a single day. DO NOT waste it on petty foolishness with the ones you love, for tomorrow is never guaranteed .YOU WILL regret NOT saying what is in your heart. Let it be known TODAY,TOMORROW and every time you part ways. She was only 49.I miss her so. This past Christmas eve would have been her 77th birthday.

  • My grandpa passed away February 1st of 2020. When he was first diagnosed with only a couple months to live. We got 18 months with him. He held on as long as he could for all of us, his family. He had 14 kids and having 36ish grandchildren he said after the first great grand child he was ready to go. And on his death bed he said he wanted to say goodbye to everyone. This video really warmed my heart, death is such an ugly and depressing this and this showed how to honor someone so strong.
